I’m a digital communications specialist with experience helping small businesses, nonprofits, and professionals to tell their stories online. I design and develop websites using WordPress, build and deliver social media content strategy, provide email marketing services, and write high-quality content for print and online media.
Every organization and business has experience, insight, and stories that will further their goals, whether it’s growing an audience, fundraising, launching a campaign, or driving new sales.
My role is to find that compelling content, find the most effective formats for communication, and create delivery systems that are easy to use, allowing my clients to focus on what they do best.
In addition to my freelance work with Tomorrow’s Harvest, I am also Communications Manager for the Bill of Rights Defense Committee/Defending Dissent Foundation, a national nonprofit focused on protecting civil liberties and constitutional rights. I am also part-owner of Haydenville Broomworks, a family-owned craft business manufacturing and selling traditional brooms.
Looking further back, I have a background in social science research, and hold a PhD in Human Geography. My research and teaching focused on planning and policy-making for sustainable and equitable food systems.
In addition to sitting at my computer I do a few other things: raise chickens, keep bees, cook, photograph, and spend time with my wonderful family.
